The project titled “Information Services for the Implementation of a Spatial Data Infrastructure within the National Meteorology Administration in Compliance with the INSPIRE Directive” was carried out from June 2019 to March 2020. This project aimed to align the National Meteorology Administration’s spatial data infrastructure with the standards, requirements, and regulations mandated by the INSPIRE Directive.

The results of the project were as follows:

  • Installation of hardware and basic software equipment necessary for hosting the data infrastructure.
  • Transformation of existing data according to INSPIRE specifications.
  • Creation of INSPIRE network-facilitated services, as follows:
    • Implementation of discovery services.
    • Implementation of view services.
    • Implementation of download services for vector and coverage data.
  • Development of a web mapping client.
  • Development of monitoring and validation tools for data and services.
  • Development of an API that validates data and services in accordance with the regulations and technical guidelines of the INSPIRE Directive.
